Completed Projects - Lake Lyell Spillway

Lake Lyell dam supplies water for the thermal power stations of Wallerawang and Mount Piper. Stage 1 of the concrete faced rockfill dam was constructed on the Coxs River in 1982. The total capacity was 27000 megalitres. Stage 2 of the dam's construction was completed in 1995, increasing the spillway capacity and raising the dam's storage to 34500 megalitres.

Our workers were confronted with the task of removing all rotten concrete and previously failed repair-work. Our Centrox™ products L, HB and R were used to rebuild, waterproof and finish off the affected areas.
